During his time over the Lion women, he amassed a record of 175-62-27 including being ranked as high as No. 1 in 2013.  The Lions qualified for the NAIA National Tournament eight times, including seven-straight appearances starting from 2012-2018.  Two of those seasons, the 2012 and 2016 teams, went the furthest that any VU team has gone, reaching the quarterfinals.  At the Golden State Athletic Conference level, Dodge guided the women to five regular season championships and four GSAC Tournament crowns.  Between September 22nd, 2012 and Sept. 30th, 2013, Dodge and his women did not lose a match (21-straight wins and a tie).  The women failed to win 10 or more games only three times while he was the coach and the program never had more defeats than wins during his 13 years in charge.   Coach Dodge had a winning percentage of .663 at the helm of the women's team and as of 2023, he remains one of the most winningest coaches in women's soccer in the NAIA (33rd).

On the men's side, Dodge guided the program to six NAIA National Tournament appearances, and got teams to the final site five times.  His best run was in 2014, as VU reached the quarterfinals.  In the GSAC, Dodge captured six regular season trophies and won the GSAC Tournament three times, winning both in 2021.   He had one losing season overall and posted 12 seasons of 10 or more victories, accumulating an overall record of 229-124-21, good for a winning percentage of .612.

He has been named GSAC Coach of the Year eight times: 2004 (men), 2010 (men), 2012 (women), 2016 (women), 2017 (men and women), and 2018 (men and women).  Dodge resigned from Vanguard in 2022 and has since becoming the men's coach at Westcliff University, where he helped the Warriors win their first California Pacific Conference regular season and tournament championships.
