Quick Reference

  • Please purchase Day Parking pass from for $5 from the Passport App. (This is new of as February 2024.)
  • There are signs posted by all of the lots with the correct lot number to purchase from. 
  • REMINDER: Parking near the softball and baseball fields is at your own risk
  • The speed limit on campus is 15 MPH
  • All vehicles must be parked in a painted parking stall
  • Violations are accumulative and are tracked by Campus Public Safety
  • Parking along Vanguard Way is limited on Thursday mornings for street sweeping services by the City of Costa Mesa
  • Vehicles with a valid VU Parking pass may park for free at the OC Fairgrounds, M-F from 8am-5pm

Visitor Parking Stalls

Current and former students, alumni, and staff members do not qualify as a visitor and may not park in visitor parking areas.

Only visitors to the University may park in visitor parking area displaying a visitor permit.

Trained Officers

All Campus Public Safety Officers are trained and certified in 832 P.C. (Arrest and Control / Firearms) from the California Peace Officer Standards and Training, and the California State Bureau of Consumer Affairs as licensed Security Officers. Many of the officers have many years of experience in law enforcement / security operations.
