The 1989-1990 Southern California College Men's Basketball team entered the Hall of Fame as the fifth team as part of the 2014 class.
SCC was fresh off one its best seasons ever, going 29-5 and 13-1 in the Golden State Athletic Conference to take the first-ever title in GSAC program history.  Head Coach Bill Reynolds, a HOF member, did not let the team dip in form in the next season, as the Lions would go 26-9 overall and 9-3 in GSAC play to again take first place.  Coach Reynolds collected his 200th win during the season.

Unlike the 1988-1989 squad, SCC would win the regional and get to the NAIA National Tournament.  There, the team beat Washburn (Kansas) 102-82 before falling to Wisconsin-Eau Claire 92-59.

But the first NAIA Tournament win and a successful defense of the GSAC crown helped SCC to its two most successful seasons up to that point.
