Gretchen (Brandt) Clements played softball at SCC from 1995 – 1999. During that time she led her team to an overall record of 163-81-1 and her overall pitching record during that stretch was 47-24. She had 517 strikeouts, 17 shutouts, and a 1.76 earned run average in 482 innings pitched.  Some of her career highlights included a no hitter against the University of San Diego on April 9, 1997, a 20 strikeout performance against Biola during the 1999 season, and a 15 strikeout, 1-0 win over Hawaii Pacific University in the 1997 Far West Region Tournament. She also took her God-given softball talent to South America on a summer missionary trip with Athletes in Action while she was a student athlete at SCC.
Gretchen married Daniel Clements in June of 1999 and the couple has two sons, Elijah and Micah, and a third child in early 2005. Following graduation, Gretchen taught Adaptive Physical Education using her first bachelor’s degree. Having a double-majored in Business, she also worked with several at-home businesses, one of which is private softball lessons. Gretchen is active in her church and community of Menifee .
