ROCKLIN, Calif. -- Vanguard STUNT squared off against both #2 Jessup and #2 Kentucky on Friday at the Jessup Tournament, with VU falling in both matches.  The Lions lost to the Warriors 22-4 and UK 25-1, dropping to 4-7 on the season.
 
What Happened?  The Warriors swept the first three quarters, netting one point per routine to lead 12-0 entering the fourth quarter of the combined acts.  VU got on the board during the first routine of quarter four, taking a point for jumps and tumbling.  The Lions then snared two points during the next performance and closed with one more after that.
 
Against Kentucky, the Wildcats tallied the first six points until the Lions grabbed their first in the second frame of pyramids and tosses.  UK took all the remaining points on offer to collect the victory.
 
What's Next?  The Blue and Gold get Cal Poly SLO and Northwest Nazarene tomorrow to conclude the JU Tournament.
