RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- Vanguard STUNT returned to Cal Baptist today for a solo match against Arizona State, but the Sun Devils bested VU 29-22 to cap VU's win streak.  The Lions dropped to 8-10 on the season, while ASU improved to 7-9

What Happened?  Day two at the Joust started with the Lions at a stalemate, as both sides scored four points during the first quarter of partner stunts.  Pyramids and tosses turned the the edge to ASU, as the Sun Devils won the frame 6-5 to lead 10-9.  Out of break, the Sun Devils outscored the Lions 5-2 during the third period of jumps and tumbling, taking the advantage to 15-11. Despite a valiant effort by the Blue and Gold in the fourth quarter of the combined routines, Arizona State struck for 14 to secure the victory.

What's Next?  Vanguard gets two weeks to prepare for the doubleheader against UC Davis and Frenso Pacific, which begins at 11:30 a.m. on March 28, with senior ceremonies included in the event.
