FULLERTON, Calif. -- Vanguard STUNT picked up its first win of the season on Saturday in a strong showing against George Fox (Ore.). The contest, played at Hope International, was squarely in favor of the Lions, who missed out on only one point during the game to win 23-1.
VU took all four points in the first quarter of partner stunts and the second frame of pyramids and tosses. After securing the first point in the third quarter of jumps and tumbling, George Fox won the second routine to claim their only point of the meeting. After that, it was all Vanguard, as the Lions took a 9-1 lead and completed the win in the fourth quarter with 13 unanswered points.
