RIVERSIDE, Calif. -- The STUNT team for Vanguard University traveled to Cal Baptist to take on the Lancers but the dominance by CBU in the sport continued. CBU won 23-2 to go to 19-0 overall, while the Lions drop to 11-6.
The Lancers scored all four points in the first quarter of partner stunts and then three of the four points in the second period of pyramids and tosses. The Lions forced two routines of the third frame of jumps and tumbling to be scored for each team to trail 11-2 entering the final frame. The combined routines of the fourth quarter favored CBU, who picked up all 12 points to win 23-2.
What's Next? The Lions go to Fullerton next Friday, April 5, to start the STUNT regional tournament, with a 4:00 p.m. matchup against Arizona Christian and a 7:00 p.m. contest against Hope International.
