2024:
Darm appeared in 16 matches this season, with a marked increase in opportunities after an injury to fellow middle Olbur. Darm was exceptionally consistent for Vanguard as she hit .250 or better in 12 of those 16 games, en route to a career best .313 hitting on the season. Darm also picked up her first career ace against Point Loma, with a final tally of seven on the year. However, she made her money by being a towering presence at the net, totaling an impressive 47 blocks this year across 48 sets-- a ratio that saw her blocks/set of 0.98 come in second behind Olbur. Darm had more games with 4 or more blocks than games with one or fewer. Arguably her best game came in the five-set thriller at Fresno Pacific. She had a game-high 8 blocks, which happened to be her season-high, while also chipping in 6 kills on .385. Two of her eight blocks in that game were part of a key 5-0 run in the 3rd set that helped Vanguard seize momentum. Certainly an exceptional season for Darm.


You get to play your sport with a legend from the game, living or dead. Who are you playing with?
I would play with Kathryn Plummer, we went to the same high school, she played at Stanford and won a silver medal at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

You can have dinner with three people, real or imaginary. Who are you having dinner with?
The 3 people I would have a dinner with is Alexander Hamilton, Lin Manuel Miranda, and Ryan Reynolds. I just feel like they all really need to meet each other.

What is one of your favorite childhood memories?
One of my favorite childhood memories is when we would take my dogs to a big grass field by my house and me and my siblings would try to beat them in a race.

Would you rather be able to speak in any human language or communicate with all animals and why?
I would absolutely choose to communicate with animals, I need to know to their thoughts and if they have accents.

Do you have a pregame ritual or superstition? Any reason?
Every time I am on the court I always touch the side line with my foot when we are in serve receive and when we are serving I find the little indent in the ground that makes the center of the net. If my foot doesn’t tap it the right way I have to do it all over again until it feels right.
