Biography

Parents: Greg & Laura Darm

Birthday: May 23, 2003

2025: Darm's final campaign with VU saw her feature in 91 total sets. The Middle posted 79 kills on a .222 clip with 11 assists, 49 digs, 80 blocks and 1.57 points-per-set mark. Those 49 digs were almost as many as she had in the 2022/2024 seasons combined (50), an impressive showing defensively. Darm also had a career-best 22 aces at the service-line. Some highlights include her season-high seven kills at CUI on September 20 as part of Vanguard's four-set victory. Darm also had six or more blocks on five occasions, including the last two games of the season against PLNU and CUI. Her eight blocks at PLNU helped VU upset the #2 team in the nation in four sets. Then, two days later on Senior Night, Darm's season-high nine blocks were a crucial part of the five-set thrilling victory, with two of those blocks coming in the fifth, including the solo to seal it 15-12. She finishes her career having recorded one game with double-digit blocks, a feat she accomplished as a sophomore vs The Master's on October 1, 2022.

2024: Darm appeared in 16 matches this season, with a marked increase in opportunities after an injury to another middle on the team. Darm was exceptionally consistent for Vanguard as she hit .250 or better in 12 of those 16 games, en route to a career-best .313 hitting on the season. She picked up her first career ace against Point Loma, with a final tally of seven on the year. However, she made her money by being a towering presence at the net, totaling an impressive 47 blocks across 48 sets-- a ratio of 0.98 per set finish second on the team. Darm had more games with four or more blocks than games with one or fewer. Arguably her best game came in the five-set thriller at Fresno Pacific. She had a game-high eight total blocks, which happened to be her season-high, while also chipping in six kills while hitting .385. Two of her eight blocks in that game were part of a key 5-0 run in the third set that helped Vanguard eventually win the set and the match.

2023: Was injured and did not see any action in 2023.

2022: Darm played in 34 matches for the Blue and Gold and tallied 129 kills on 316 swings for a .241 hitting percentage.  She had seven kills against Westcliff on the road and six kills in six contests.  She did it all for VU while on the court, as she registered 11 assists and 26 digs.  At the net, Darm was second in solo blocks with 14 and led VU with 90 block assists, with three solo stops against Westcliff being her best and eight block assists against TMU being another high-water mark.

2021: Darm made 13 appearances in her first year, making 51 kills over that span.  She had a 1.21 kills per set rate and hit .153 in her first season.  She made six solo blocks at the net and 46 block assists for 52 total blocks, averaging 1.24 blocks per set and finishing third on the team in block assists.  Eight kills at home against Westmont was her season-high and she twice had two solo blocks, with 10 block assists in that same Westmont game being her season-best.
