Vanguard University

Bryndon Paulsen comes to Costa Mesa after spending four years as the head women's volleyball coach at his alma mater Clarke University in Dubuque, Iowa. Clarke went 79-44 under his leadership with 24 All-Conference selections and one NAIA All-American. 

A 2010 graduate of Clarke with a bachelor's degree in Kinesiology and Physical Education, he was a four-year member of the Clarke men's volleyball team and senior captain. Prior to his stint at Clarke, Paulsen spent four seasons as head women's volleyball coach at Manchester University in North Manchester, Indiana. He turned a 5-22 program into a squad that set a program record with an 18-12 mark and the first trip to the Heartland Collegiate Athletic Conference semi-finals in nearly a decade. 

Before his time at Manchester University he served as the graduate assistant volleyball coach at Western Illinois University where he also completed his master's degree in Sport Management.  He also had a combined six seasons of coaching with the University of Dubuque, Cascade High School and Dubuque Elite Volleyball Club.

In his spare time Paulsen likes to read, hang out with his cats, and coach an AVP team.
