Vanguard Career:

Lauren Mascaro was promoted to Head Women’s Soccer Coach in December 2018 after serving five seasons as the Associate Head Coach under Director of Soccer Randy Dodge. Since her return to the coaching staff as associate head coach in the summer of 2014, the Lions have a record of 103-36-9.  VU secured regular season conference championships in 2014, 2016, 2017, 2018, and 2019, as well as a GSAC tournament championship in 2016 and 2019. During her tenure, the team made five trips to the NAIA National Championships, including four to the Final Site.

Prior to Vanguard:

In addition to her experience coaching at the collegiate level, she has coached at Aliso Niguel High School, Woodbridge High School, Irvine Slammers (now LA Galaxy OC), and the Pateadores.

Playing Career:

She was a four-year starter and three-time captain at Vanguard from 2003-2007 while earning her Bachelor’s degree in Athletic Training. 

Personal:

After completing her undergraduate degree from Vanguard, Lauren went on to Cal State Long Beach to earn her Master’s in Sport Psychology (2009). Lauren is married to Tyler Mascaro and the couple resides in Oceanside with their children Skyler and Mackenzie.
