Vanguard University

The athlete:  Lacey is the only true freshman on the Vanguard roster this year…the Oregon native graduated from Oregon City High School in 2001…two-sport high school athlete…OCHS was a two-time Oregon State Champion while Lacey played there…named a tournament All-Star for the “End of the Oregon Trail” tournament…excellent long range shooter and smart ballplayer…knows how to win…will compete for playing time at the shooting guard position.

The person:  Born in Portland, Oregon on July 27, 1983 to her parents, Mike and Dana Mills…has two siblings who both compete in sports…nicknamed “Lace” or “Sniper”…plans to study Biology or Pre-medicine…likes to eat teriyaki chicken and go to the beach…favorite TV show is “Who’s line is it Anyway?”…loves the movie “A league of their Own”…enjoys swimming, skiing, camping, and fishing…really likes the friendships made on the team this year…eventually would like to be an Orthopedic surgeon.

Her thoughts:  I came to Vanguard because I liked the Christian Atmosphere.  I like the people here.
