The athlete: Lacey will redshirt during the 2006-07 season?comes to Vanguard from Birdville High School in North Richland Hills, Texas?was a four-sport high school athlete?graduated in 2006?played volleyball, softball and ran track, in addition to playing basketball?played for Coach Terry Eccles?named First-Team All-District in 2006?earned Most Improved Player award for BHS as a freshman?tallied Most Rebounds award and Best Free Throw Percentage laurels?helped team win District and make it to the playoffs?played four years of club basketball?has played basketball for nine years?carried a 3.5 GPA in high school?solid all-around student-athlete?played post position in high school?will be transitioning to more of a forward role for the Lions?kind-hearted teammate has already made an impact with her new team?will use 2006-07 to prepare for next year?should have a solid future with the Blue and Gold.
