Biography
The athlete: Kelly had a tremendous sophomore season?named NAIA 1st-Team All-America and GSAC Player of the Year?also earned WBCA All-America honors and NAIA All-Tournament Team laurels?returns as a junior needing only 107 points to break VUSC's school record for total points?has started all 70 games of her VU career?led the team in points and rebounds since she came to Vanguard?averages 21.4 points and 8.4 rebounds in her Lion career?will serve as a team captain as a junior?2003 graduate of Ironwood High School in Glendale, Arizona?played for Coach Robert Contrata in the Northwest Region?three-time Team MVP?four-time All-Region player?two-time Region Player of the Year?All-State 2nd-Team?holds IHS's career record for total rebounds, points in a season, and blocked shots?scored over 2000 points and grabbed over 1500 rebounds in her high school career?also played volleyball in high school?competed six years for the Arizona Elite club team?has played basketball since she was in the third grade?member of VU's Champions of Character LIONS program?power forward with great abilities?possibly the most consistent player in the history of the program?two-time NAIA All-American will be aiming for even more in 2005-06.
