The athlete:  Jennifer joins the Lions after playing a single season for Cosumnes River College in Sacramento…earned All-Conference Honorable Mention at CRC…competed in basketball and track and field at Luther Burbank High School prior to attending CRC…was an All-Metro League player for LBHS coach Lindsey Ferril…high school Team MVP and team captain…averaged 17 points and seven rebounds per game at the high school level…will fit in great at VU and make a big addition as the only non-freshman newcomer…will play either a guard or small forward position for Vanguard…great rebounder and talented scorer…solid defender…has All-GSAC potential…look for her to make an immediate impact as a sophomore for the Lions.

The person:  Born in Sacramento, California on February 25, 1983 to her parents James and Linda Wilcox…has three older brothers…plans to major in Biblical Studies at VU…sports hero is Tim Brown…likes to eat chicken…favorite movie is “Braveheart”…loves the color purple and the number 10…LA Laker and Oakland Raider fanatic…favorite book is the Bible…likes watching “The Late Show with David Letterman” on TV…special place is Tahoe…would like to meet Jesus…wants to become a teacher.

Her thoughts:  I chose Vanguard because I wanted to go to a Christian school, and I liked the team and the coaches.
