The athlete: Heather joins the Vanguard Women's Basketball program for the first time in her four years at VU?was an All-GSAC performer for the VU volleyball team?helped lead the Lions volleyball program to two consecutive NAIA National Tournaments as a junior and senior?graduated in 2006 from Mt. Whitney High School in Visalia, California with a 3.86 GPA?played for coaches Alfano and Boucher at MWHS, in the West Yosemite League?was a captain of her high school team, and was named best defensive player?three-sport high school athlete?earned Best Offensive award in volleyball, as well as the Coach's Award?volleyball high school All-American?also competed in track?active member of B.A.M. (Beyond Athletics Ministries)?has not played competitive basketball since high school?brings more size to the VU front line?possesses a great attitude and a willingness to improve?could surprise this season

Heather's Senior Reflection: "I want to be remembered as a light on my team, on and off the court. I want people to remember someone who set the pace for how a collegiate athlete is supposed to act during competition with sportsmanship and servant leadership."

Coach Davis' Comments: We are excited to have Heather join our program this season. She brings great size to our lineup. Though we are happy to have her on the court, we are also thrilled to have such a high character girl as a teammate.
