Biography

Parents: David & Sara Schaaf

Birthday: April 30, 2006

2025-26: It was another huge year for Schaaf, who ended as a First Team All-PacWest Player and a CSC Academic All-District player.  She improved in just about every metric while starting in all 31 games for the Lions.  She played 908 minutes, good for 29.3 per contest, and scored an average of 14.7 points per game, netting 457 in total.  She shot 44.7% from the floor (272-609), 31.7% from downtown (63-199), and made 75.3% of her free throws (140-186).  She hauled in 75 offensive boards and 143 defensive boards, giving her 218 in toal and an average of 7 per game.  She made 63 blocks in year two, netted 28 steals, and ended the year sixth in the league in points and points per game, ninth in rebounds per game, 11th in total boards, eighth in offensive boards, and third in blocking.  Her night at home versus Dominican was a major highlight, as Schaaf exploded for 30 points, a career-best, including a career-best 9-for-11 mark from the line.  She had 23 games with 10 or more points, eight points with 20 more, and had 13 or more points in her final eight games.  She scored over 20 points in the team's two NCAA Tournament games.  She tied her career-high of 16 boards in the PacWest Tournament finale against APU, and she had at least one block in all but four games, with two games of five rejections being her best mark of the year, again tying her career-best.  She led Vanguard in scoring and rebounding in 2025-26.

2024-25: Schaaf's first year saw her start all 26 games with her work resulting in PacWest Freshman of the Year honors, putting her on the All-Conference Third-Team. Her marks were.445/.326/.700, en route to nearly averaging a double-double with 11.2ppg and 8.6rpg, accomplishing the feat eight times in year one. One of those double-doubles came when she set her career-high with 23 points (9-12 FG, 1-2 3PT) in the road upset at APU-- the first time APU lost a conference match in 31 tries. Schaaf matched that total a month later in the Freed vs Dominican (8-19 FG, 5-9 3PT). Those five 3PT's was the first time she made more than three in a single game. Her rebounding-high (16) came twice: first when hosting PLNU then vs CUI six days later- both were part of double-doubles. She was a lethal rim-protector, with her 58 total blocks putting her at 17th in the nation and 2nd in the conference. "Wemby" had a personal-best five rejections on three separate occasions, the first of which was at Chaminade. Her efforts helped her claim two PacWest Defender of the Week awards.
