SCC is pleased to have Dean Cooper as the new head coach for the Lady Vanguards. This name may sound familiar to some, due to his position at Costa Mesa High School's athletic director. he has been CMHS's Athletic Director since 1987 and will continue to hold that part-time position as he takes the reigns of head coach.

Dean has been coaching for about thirty years at the junior high and high school levels while being a head coach for about 15 of those years. His overall coaching record is 209-69 (.752). Dean attained a Bachelor of Science Degree from Findlay College, also a Master's degree in Physical Education from the Bowling Green State University of Ohio. Dean is building a quality team and looks forward to a good season this year.
