Gabriela "Gabby" Sandoval returns to California after playing for Southern Oregon University. Now entering her fourth season, Sandoval helped the Lions to two second place finishes in the Golden State Athletic Conference, back-to-back GSAC Tournament championships, and two appearances in the NAIA National Tournament Opening Round. Sandoval has put her experience SOU pitching experience to work, as she works with all VU pitchers
Graduating from Mater Dei High School, Sandoval went north and thrived beyond measure at SOU, accumulating one Gold Glove, three All-Cascade Collegiate Conference First Team selections, two CCC Pitcher of the Year selections, was named the National Fastpitch Coaches Association Pitcher of the Year in 2019, was a two-time NAIA & NFCA All-American, and helped the Raiders win two NAIA National Championships. In addition to her experience on the field, Sandoval spent time working as a physical therapy intern in Oregon and coached at the Skyhawks Sports Academy here in Costa Mesa.
