Vanguard University

The athlete:  Alysia enters her third and final season at Vanguard…transferred from Irvine Valley College as a sophomore...bats right and throws right…Irvine High School graduate…experienced pitcher...pitched 137.2 innings last season…hard worker and a spiritual leader on the team…good baserunner and athletic player…may be needed in other positions some this year…will see time as a starting pitcher and as a reliever.

The person:  Alysia was born March 15, 1979 to her parents Keith and Debra Atchley in Santa Cruz, California…nicknames are Ace and Princess…Liberal Studies senior…favorite food is fruit…enjoys hanging out with family and friends and having fun…her heroes are her parents…would like to meet Jesus…participating in softball has taught her responsibility and perseverance…would like to become a complete servant to God.

Her thoughts: I selected Vanguard University because of the Christian atmosphere and because it is close to my family.  I appreciate the professors and their openness to students.  They are positive Christian role models and reflect our God in their teaching.
