2026: The third year of Portillo's career ended with her hitting .296, as she again slapped 45 hits, this time in 152 ABs.  She had six doubles and her second home run of her career, with 17 RBI at year's end.  She had an OBP of .337 and had six stolen bases on nine attempts.  Her home run came on February 7 against Simon Fraser, part of three games which she had three hits, and she had 11 multi-hit games in all.  She had two multi-RBI games, and she drove in two runs in those games.  She had a pair of doubles during the February 7 game against Simon Fraser and a pair of five-game hit streaks.  She started all 55 games for VU.

2025: Portillo started 51 of the 52 games she played in during her second campaign and hit .285.  She totaled 45 hits, four doubles, three triples, and 21 RBI.  She had two stolen bases on three attempts and had an OBP of .335.  She had 15 extra-base hits in 2025 and all of them were two-hit contests.  She had a seven-game hit streak as her top mark in year two and five multi-RBI games, with her best being the three she drove in against CSUSM.  She also had two doubles during the April 19 game (second) against Menlo.  At third base, Portillo faced 111 chances and improved her fielding percentage to .928.

2024: Portillo slashed .326 in her first year, pocketing 43 hits in 132 at-bats.  She started in 43 of the 45 games that she played, and she first took the field on February 1 against ERAU (Ariz.), and she got her first single in that game.  Her first RBI came a day later against Carroll, and she had her first extra-base hit on February 15 when she smacked a double.  She had a hit in the first 11 games of the season, and ended with nine multi-hit games, with her best being her 3-for-3 day on March 20 against Saint Katherine.  She smacked her first home run on March 9 in the second game against OUAZ, and got her first of two triples on March 16 during game two against Jessup.  Her best day cashing in runs was the May 15 game against Oregon Tech, when she brought home three.  Portillo ended with 10 doubles, 29 RBI, a .336 OBP, and a perfect 5-for-5 ledger stealing bases.  As a defender, Portillo had a .908 fielding percentage in year one at the hot corner in 87 chances, collecting a GSAC Gold Glove.

What is your favorite memory of watching a sporting event, either in person or on TV?
There is no specific moment that stands out, but the memories I’ve made playing softball with my best friends are some of the ones I cherish most. Being on the field with them is where I feel happiest!

What is the dumbest way you have gotten hurt?
I was riding a scooter with my two older sisters when we hit a crack in the concrete and we all flew off.
