FRISCO, Texas -- Vanguard women's golf had three individuals land on the Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholar list for 2025-26 today, a first in program history. The Lions had
Theresa Shaw,
Kaitlin Anderson, and
Rylee Salas-Hubbard make the prestigious list, which requires a student-athlete to have a GPA of 3.5 or higher, be an amateur throughout the season, and play in either 50% of the season for the team or play in the lineup for the conference championship.
There were 11 total women's golfers from Pacific West Conference schools on the honor roll, with Hawaii Hilo netting five and Menlo three.
"I'm proud of these student-athletes for representing our school and program," said Head Coach Claire Shubin. "It has been wonderful working with these driven women, and I'm so glad to have them all returning this year, not only to support our team, but representing Vanguard with excellence."
"We're incredibly proud of these three young women for earning WGCA All-American Scholar honors," relayed Director of Golf Dr. Jane Carr. "This award recognizes far more than success in the classroom; it reflects the discipline, commitment, and resilience it takes to excel as a collegiate student-athlete. Balancing the demands of academics and competitive golf is no small feat, and these athletes have demonstrated excellence in both. They represent the very best of what our program strives to develop, and this recognition is well deserved."
