COSTA MESA -- The Vanguard golf program has put together its schedule for the 2025-26 school year and is proud to release the upcoming slate.
The women will start the year at the RJGA Shootout in Goodyear, Arizona, on September 15-16 at the Golf Club of Estrella. Following that are two other out-of-state road trips, with the Lions traveling to Jordan, Utah, for the Wasatch Invite (Sep. 21-22, Westminster Uni.) and the NCAA Regional Preview at Pueblo Country Club in Pueblo, Colorado (Oct. 13-14). The fall portion of the schedule concludes with the CSU East Bay Fall Invite at Stonebrae Country Club in Hayward over October 27-28.
The spring portion of the season kicks off with the CSULA Spring Invite at the Rio Hondo Golf Course over February 2-3. The team returns to the Bay Area for the CSUEB Tim Tierney Shootout February 23-24, at the Corica Park Golf Course, and then heads south over March 7-8 for the CSU San Marcos Fujikura Spring Invite at Shadowrdige Country Club. The final tournament before the Pacific West Conference Championships is the RJGA Spring Shootout at Palm Valley Country Club on April 3-4.
The men begin their campaign with the Chico State Wildcat Classic, September 15-16 at the Peach Tree Country Club in Marysville, and 10 days later, head up to Washington for a brace of contests. The Saint Martin's University Kevin Bishop Invite leads off at The Home Course in Dupont on September 26-27, with the Western Washington University Invitational at the Bellingham Golf & Country Club happening over September 29-30. The final fall moment for the men happens at the Ranch Course at the Alisal Golf Club over October 6-7, as the team participates in the TMU Danish Classic.
The spring opens with the CSUM Spring Invite at the Twin Oaks Golf Course on February 7-8, with the CSUSB Battle in the Desert capping the month on the 23-25 at the Rams Hill Golf Course. The CSUEB Men's Tim Tierney Invite beckons on March 9-10 at the Corica Park Golf Course, and the Blue and Gold finish the regular season at the Dominican Spring Invite at the Sonoma Golf Course on April 6-7.
The PacWest trophy will be handed out at the Aliante Golf Club in North Las Vegas, with three rounds taking place over April 23-25. The location is the same as last school year, where both VU sides finished in sixth. However, a new year and plenty of time to develop gives the Vanguard golf teams confidence to expect a move up the leaderboard in 2025-26.
