Theresa Shaw and
Fisher Ransom were named the PacWest Golfers of the Week for their finishes at the RJGA Shootout and the Chico State Wildcat Classic, respectively.
Shaw posted the second-lowest single-round score at the Shootout and finished at three-under-par, winning the event by one shot. Shaw became the fifth VU individual and the sixth women's golfer in Vanguard history to win a tournament. Ransom concluded the Wildcat Classic at nine-under-par, tying for fourth place in the large field. He was tied for first in the field with 15 birdies, tied with teammate
Kyle Koski for the lowest single-round score in program history (67), and helped the team set record scores for a single round and for 54 holes.
Shaw and company are off to Utah this weekend for the Westminster Wasatch Invite and the men return to action the following weekend at the Saint Martin's Kevin Bishop Invite in Washington.
