COSTA MESA -- On the heels of the announcement that Vanguard athletics received over 200 Pacific West Conference All-Academic individual honorees, the laurels for classroom success continued for three teams.  Both women's volleyball and beach volleyball received the 2025 American Volleyball Coaches Association Team Academic Award and baseball received the 2025 American Baseball Coaches Association Team Academic Excellence Award.
 
The AVCA requires a team to maintain a year-long GPA of at least 3.3 on a 4.0 scale, while the ABCA requires a 3.00 for the year.  This is the seventh time overall that the indoor women's team picked up the AVCA award, as the squad has won the past three years and four times from the 2017-18 season through the 2020-21 school year.  The beach program collects the award for the fourth time overall and previously captured the honor in the 2021-22, 2020-21, and 2018-19 school years.  Baseball makes it three years in a row on the ABCA list, which in addition to wins in the 2019-2020 and 2018-19 school years, makes it five total triumphs for the program.
