COSTA MESA --  Full of gratitude after the holiday break, Vanguard Athletics would like to extend a huge thank you to those who participated in Vanguard Giving Day 2024!  The University and the Athletic Department are amazed by the generosity shown on November 14, as records were reset for the yearly day of giving. 
 
The University netted just shy of 1,600 total gifts for a total of $524,420.  That is up by almost 100 gifts and over $100,000 from the 2023 amounts.  The Athletic Department was blessed by 1,014 gifts worth over $317,000, an increase of just over $40,000 from 2023.  Five teams had over 100 donors this year.  While Giving Day may be over, you may go here or to the VU Athletics' website to make a gift throughout the year to the department or a program of your choice.
 
"We are extremely grateful for the support that we received from our Vanguard Athletics community on another record-breaking Giving Day," said Athletic Director Jeff Bussell.  "The commitment and dedication to our programs is unmatched and shows God's work through amazing people who contribute to making Vanguard a special place. Our success is made possible by the University Advancement Office, our coaches, student-athletes, and alumni leaders, who work hard behind the scenes to make Giving Day a great triumph.  The money raised helps us continue to give our student-athletes a first-class experience as we transition to NCAA DII.  Thank you to everyone who donated and believes in the vision of God's work of transformation in student-athletes through our athletics department."
 
The department is so grateful to everyone who participated in Giving Day 2024 and looks forward to increased totals in 2025.  Hope to see you on campus soon!
