SANTA BARBARA, Calif. -- Two women for Vanguard track and field took part in the Kelin/Nwaba Combined Events, as Penelopi Leach (JR/Madera, CA) and Grace Roberts (SR/Riverside, CA) represented the Blue and Gold in the heptathlon.  After two days at Westmont, Leach finished seventh and Roberts was 12th.

Leach scored her most points in the 100m dash, finishing third with a 15.06.  She was also fourth in the 800m, posting a time of 2:27.04.  Idaho State's Kylee Dimick won after all seven events were completed with a total of 5,082 points.  Leach had 4,101 points and Roberts had 2,133.

What's Next?  The entire team will compete at the CUI Team Titus and Ely Event tomorrow.
