FULLERTON, Calif. -- The Vanguard dance program drove up to Hope International Thursday night to face the Royals in two individual matches.  While the team was high in confidence after the trip to New Orleans, the Royals would emerge with both victories.

The teams performed first during halftime of the women's basketball game.  VU received a 69.45, the lowest mark the Lions have gotten all season, while HIU posted a 79.05.  Vanguard then performed again during the halftime of the men's basketball game and scored only a tick better, getting 70 points, with the Royals losing one to finish with a 78 to claim another win.

That will give the Lions four wins and two losses on the season.  VU has an average score of 74.74 after six routines, as the team heads into the NAIA qualifier in York, Nebraska, on February 26.
