AUSTIN, Texas - The 2017-18 Academic All-America® College Division soccer teams as selected by the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) has been announced and Vanguard University places a player on the list for women's soccer for the first time. Erica Wadell holds a 3.98 GPA while studying Communications is one of four defenders to make the list. The teams include one goal keeper, four defenders, four midfielders, and three forwards. The CoSIDA Academic All-America® College Division soccer teams are comprised of student-athletes from NAIA, Canadian and two-year institutions. Additionally, Wadell has been named both NAIA Scholar Athlete and Golden State Athletic Conference Scholar Athlete this year. She played in 19 of 20 games this season, only sitting out due to illness, and started 16 contests as a defender.
