The athlete:  Michelle played four other sports besides excelling in volleyball at Imperial High School…middle blocker who moves well…led the Lions in total blocks as a freshman…has good ball control as well…an offensive weapon, especially with the quick set…good court instincts and feel for the game…played in 64 games last season…returns with experience and the opportunity to make a big difference for the Lions of 2001.

The person:  Michelle was born in La Mesa, California on July 24, 1982…parents are Bob and Karen Tucker…teammates call her Tuck…is undecided on a major…favorite book is “The Great Gatsby”…likes Mexican food…favorite movie is “Gone in 60 Seconds”…would like to meet Julia Roberts…athletics has taught her about control, motivation, responsibility, and how to perform under pressure…in life she’s learned to do things for others because you want to, not because you expect something in return.

Her thoughts:  I wanted to go to a school that was Christian and not too far away from my home.  I also like that it’s so close to the beach.
