Vanguard University

The athlete:  Michelle came to Vanguard from Imperial High School…four-sport athlete in high school…her height will serve as an advantage in the blocking game for the Lions…agile blocker who can also hit the quick set consistently…good court instincts and feel for the game…should improve with experience and has great potential to help the Lions this year.

The person:  Michelle was born in La Mesa, California on July 24, 1982 to Bob and Karen Tucker…nickname is Tuk…wants to major in Biology and become a Zoologist…prefers Italian food…likes to go shopping or hang out at the beach with friends…favorite place is the zoo…cheers for the LA Lakers…favorite movie is “Pretty Woman” and would like to meet Julia Roberts…athletics has taught her to work with others and to focus…she’s learned from life that you only get out what you put in to it.

Her thoughts:  I selected Vanguard because of the Christian atmosphere and the nice people.  I especially like that it’s close to the beach and my home.
