The athlete:  Kim enters the collegiate ranks as a Lion following a successful career at Mount Whitney High School…graduated in 2004 and played for Coach J.R. Allen…two-time West Yosemite League MVP…two-time All-Area…All-American as a senior…three-time team MVP for MWHS…three-sport high school athlete…also competed for the Club Visalia and Club Sideout volleyball teams…has played for six years…right-handed…strong physically…great athlete…lots of power…good defensive skills as well…all around player…strong career ahead of her with the Lions.

The person:  Kimberly was born on March 11, 1986 in Visalia, California to her parents Ray and Liz Wynn…has one older sister…just call her “Kim” for short…is unsure of what she will study at Vanguard…likes to eat pizza…favorite movie is “Billy Madison”…loves the color blue…has learned to live life one day at a time and to have fun…competing in athletics has taught her how to work as a team with others.

Her thoughts:  Kim selected Vanguard because of the volleyball team.  She likes the atmosphere on campus and the religious aspect.

Coach Gulbranson’s comments:  Kim fits perfectly into our system.  With a year of training with some of the hardest working players in the conference, she could emerge as one of the best outside hitters in the GSAC.
