The athlete: Kiersten will redshirt her first season as a Lion…will add height and quickness to the team…comes to VU from Edison High School in Huntington Beach, California…has competed in club volleyball for six years…was awarded most improved player in 2002…will be a blocking weapon in the future…has an explosive and quick attack…solid work ethic…look for Kiersten to contribute to the Lions program in many ways.

The person: Kiersten was born on May 6, 1985 in Newport Beach, California…parents are Wayne and Suzanne Winant…has a younger sister Brittany…has not declared a major yet…likes to eat a variety of foods…would like to meet the lead singer for All American Rejects…favorite movie is “Billy Madison” and favorite play is “Romeo and Juliet”…Likes the color black and number 6…hobbies include singing, going to the beach, and hanging out…feels the biggest problem in the world is intolerance…has learned from life to just smile…sports has taught her to take one day at a time…wants to become a superstar.
