Jenny Griffith returns to the Lion's coaching staff for her second season, taking on an important role for head coach Marissa Cothran. After helping lead Vanguard to their first NAIA National Tournament berth, Griffith is back alongside Cothran to continue to help the program reach new heights. Griffith, who has coached at the high school and club level with more than a decade of camp experience, has competed at the highest levels of the game and brings a veteran presence to the Lions. Certainly an added dimension to the Vanguard program, Griffith will use her experience and knowledge to continue to assist Cothran in all areas and mentor the team in any way she can.

Griffith, the Player of the Year as a prep player for Newport Harbor High School, graduated from UCLA with a History degree in 1993. Her stellar volleyball career at UCLA included two National Championships and NCAA All-American honors as a Bruin. Following her success at UCLA, Griffith was a two-year USA National Team member and also earned AVP Beach Volleyball Rookie of the Year laurels.

"I came to Vanguard to work with Coach Cothran and because I love volleyball and felt the Lord was calling me here," Griffith stated.

Jenny and her husband Brian have three children and live in Costa Mesa.
