The
athlete: Tessa joins the Lions as a freshman, hailing from Chandler,
Arizona…brought in to be the goalie of the future for VUSC…graduated
from Mountain Pointe High School, where she played for Head Coach Mark
Wilson…was named first-team all state as a junior and senior…led her
team to the state championship game, which they won…was named MVP of
that game…carried a 3.7 GPA at MPHS…played club soccer for AZFC
Hammers, along with current VU teammate Kat McDonald, for eight
years…exceptional goal-keeping skills…highly-touted and decorated
recruit…loads of potential…will continue on the Vanguard legacy of
having great goalkeepers.

to parents Alex and Diana in San Diego, California…birthday is August
17, 1990…plans to major in Kinesiology at VU…loves to eat at "Paradise
Bakery", and anyplace with pasta…likes watching the TV show "One Tree
Hill"…favorite color is blue, and number is one…enjoys
swimming…believes the most important characteristics for a person to
have are honesty, caring, and a good sense of humor…most respects her
mom…soccer has taught her hard work.
