The athlete: Paige is back in the Blue and Gold for her sophomore season…quietly put up a nice season as a freshman in 2008, starting 11 of the 16 games she played…had one goal and an assist on just eight shots...came to VU after graduating from Los Osos High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California where she played for Head Coach Joe Klum…made the Inland Valley All-Star team in 2008 and was second- team All-League…was named her team’s best defensive player…also played volleyball and was Coaches’ Award winner…played seven years of club soccer for Arsenal and Claremont…has played soccer for 13 years…left-sided player…good crosser of the ball…aids the Lions with more depth at the midfield spot…should contend for even more playing time as a sophomore.

The person: Paige Lauren was born on June 9, 1990 to parents David and Tami in Upland, California…has one older brother…majoring in sociology…favorite movie is "Little Giants" and TV show is "Full House"…favorite Bible verse is Phil. 4:13…roots for the Boston Red Sox…favorite color is green and number is 12…hobbies include wakeboarding and snowboarding…most respects her father because he is driven and an amazing person…learned in life that everything happens for a reason…soccer has taught her about determination and never giving up…career goal is to be a pharmaceutical sales rep.
