The athlete:  Kayleen starts her sophomore year at Vanguard University…made the All-League team three times in her career at Brethren Christian High School…three sport HS athlete…BCHS soccer MVP her final two seasons…has played soccer since she was five years old…gained experience as a freshman and looks to increase her role in 2002…strong defender who thrives on one on one situations…rocket outside shot…caring person off the field who quickly becomes a ferocious, aggressive defender on the field…aggressive player with relaxed and flexible personality…will battle for a starting spot in 2002.

The person:  Kayleen was born on August 8, 1983 in Anaheim, California to Allen and Nancy Howard…friends call her Kay…has two older brothers…majoring in Psychology at Vanguard…likes spicy food…favorite movie is “Toy Story”…favorite TV show is “Survivor”…loves the color yellow and the number 11…enjoys reading, writing, rock climbing, and fishing…would like to meet Batman…has learned from life that anything is possible…feels that lies are the biggest problem in the world…playing soccer has taught her to have patience and focus…want to be a youth worker when she is older.

Her thoughts:  I wanted a Christian school not too close to home but not too far away either.
