The athlete:  Jennifer has played in 54 games in her career at VU, the most of any current player…an All-GSAC and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American as a sophomore in 1999…tied for the most assists for the Lions last season…has savy foot skills and a strong outside shot…12 career goals…flexible and relaxed player…confident midfielder whose leadership will be key this season.

The person:  Jen was born February 27, 1980 in Pasadena, California to Robert and Phyllis Bird…will graduate with a Communications degree with a  focus on TV and Film and a minor in Sociology…favorite movie is “Happy Gilmore”…roots for the UCLA Bruins…likes to eat Chinese Food…enjoys going to the beach and watching reruns of “90210”…would like to meet Max Lucado…has learned that God provides…competing in soccer has taught her discipline and dedication…wants to become successful in the entertainment industry.

Her thoughts:  I came to Vanguard because of the location and to be part of the soccer program.  I really like the people and the friendships I’ve developed here.
