The athlete:  Jennifer was an All-GSAC and NAIA Honorable Mention All-American midfielder in 1999…third on team in goals scored last season…also a fluid passer…crafty skills…strong presence physically and mentally…quick to find a joke…will play an integral leadership role for the Lions.

The person:  Jen was born February 27, 1980 to Robert and Phyllis Bird…Communications major…favorite TV show is “Everybody Loves Raymond”…likes cinnamon-sugar toast and the UCLA Bruins…enjoys jet skiing and going to the beach…feels that the biggest problem in the world is hatred…would like to meet Max Lucado…has learned that God is faithful…soccer has taught her hard work and commitment…wants to become successful in the entertainment industry.

Her thoughts:  I selected Vanguard University because of the atmosphere and the soccer program.  I also really like the people and the location.
