The athlete:  Jenae had an extremely successful freshman season…second leading scorer in 2001 with five goals…top scorer among returners this year…played two sports at El Toro High School…was voted the Most Inspirational Player at ETHS…scored nine goals her senior year…quick forward…scrappy player with tenacity…can create big problems for the opposing defense…loves to take the outside shot…work horse on the field…hates to lose…is motivated to be the best…look for her to be a flash in the flank.

The person:  Born in Mission Viejo, California on January 19, 1983…parents are Michael and Theresa Welch…has two older brothers…teammates call her “Nae” for short…Communication major…sports hero is Annie Jacobs…loves to eat ice cream…favorite movie is “Serendipity”…NY Yankee fanatic…enjoys playing games…loves the number eight and the TV show “Friends”…would like to meet Will Smith…believes that lying is the biggest problem in the world…playing soccer has taught her how to be tough…has learned that life is what you make of it…wants to become a really good mom.
