The athlete:  Janelle begins her first season with the Lions…transferred this semester from UC Irvine where she played for three seasons…was an All-Big West 1^st Team selection in 2001…local athlete who graduated from Newport Harbor High School in 1999…also played club soccer for the Southern California Blues…quick and athletic…one of the most skilled players ever to compete for the Lions…savvy shooter…will step up as a team leader…should help the Lions raise the level of play in her only season with VU.

The person:  Born on October 9, 1980 in Newport Beach, California to her parents Richard and Paula Doyle…oldest of three children…is a Liberal Studies major…likes to eat bananas…sports hero is Kristina Lily…favorite movie is “Braveheart”…enjoys surfing, snowboarding, making collages, and going to the beach…likes the color blue and the TV show “Hannity and Colmes”…believes that hatred is the biggest problem in the world…has learned that Jesus is life…participating in soccer has taught her perseverance.

Her thoughts:  I selected Vanguard to grow in my knowledge of the Lord and to play soccer with some really sweet girls.
