The athlete:  Heather joins the collegiate ranks from Edison High school…played for VU Coach Kerry Crooks at EHS…first team All-Sunset League selection and Best Offensive Player in Sunset League as a senior…helped take EHS to two league championships and one CIF championship…26 goals in final two years of high school…four-sport athlete in high school…played club soccer for the Wolfpack Soccer Club…has played for 11 years…savvy ball handler with a precise shot…will be trouble for opposing defenses…lighthearted off the field…unmatched intensity during a game on the field…can play the midfield or forward positions…will create some exciting moments on the field for the Lions even as a freshmen…look for an outstanding career as a Lion for Hutton.

The person:  Heather Leigh Hutton was born on April 3, 1985 in Long Beach, California…mother is Bonnie Hutton…has one brother…teammates just call her “Hutton”…plans to major in Exercise Sports Science…likes to eat cheese…favorite movies are “Old School” and “Bad Boys II”…loves the color purple and the TV show “The Simpsons”…cheers for the LA Lakers, the SF 49ers, and the LA Raiders…favorite number is six…enjoys eating, surfing, playing soccer, being with friends, skipping stones and going to the beach…would like to meet Faith Hill and Pamela Anderson…thinks pollution and hatred are the biggest problems in the world…really likes all of her new teammates…has learned from life that you have to work for what you want and that nothing is just handed to you…playing soccer has taught her about competitiveness, teamwork, and sportsmanship…wants to be a sports trainer or an Emergency Medical Technician.
