The
athlete: Heather returns to the blue and gold for her senior season,
her second year as a Lion…played in all 17 games, starting 10, as a
junior in 2008…joined VUSC after spending two years at Moorpark College
in Moorpark, California…played for Head Coach Eric Privat in the
Western State Conference…named Best Offensive Player in 2006 and
2007…Western State Conference first team member and conference
champion…scored a total of 15 goals and 20 assists in two
seasons…graduated from Moorpark High School in 2006 where she played
for Head Coach Frank Palleta…named Best Offensive Player in 2005 and
2006…first-team All-Miramonte in 2006 and second-team in 2005…has
played seven years of club soccer…also ran track…has played soccer for
15 years…great speed, passion and determination…good on the ball…her
experience should provide the Lions with stability in the attack.
The
person: Heather was born in San Pedro, California to parents Michael
and Linda on January 28, 1988…has an older brother and sister…majoring
in Liberal Studies…favorite movie is "Garden State" and TV show is
"Intervention"…favorite Bible verse is Proverbs 3:5-6…roots for the
Boston Celtics, especially Rajon Rondo…likes the color purple and the
number 23…enjoys running, surfing, and snowboarding …most respects her
parents because they are the best people she knows…has learned in life
to be happy…soccer has taught her respect…career goal is to become a
teacher and a soccer coach.
Her thoughts: I came to
Vanguard because of its good values, good soccer team, Christian
community and because two people I very much respect attended VU.
