Vanguard University

Migel La Motte is the right-hand man for Coach Crooks and the women's soccer program at Vanguard. La Motte is the only assistant coach for the women's soccer team and has been an assistant coach in the men's or women's soccer programs at Vanguard for the past twelve years. Migel is a U.S.S.F. and Hoek Licensed soccer coach with experience at the youth, junior, high school and college levels. In addition, he is the director of the Proven Methods Soccer Schools and personally specializes in training goalkeepers.

As a player Migel was an All-GSAC and a NAIA All-American goalkeeper at Vanguard University (formerly Southern California College). He has also played internationally in Mexico, China, England, Belgium, Holland and Austria. La Motte completed his bachelors degree in Exercise Sports Science at VU in 1993, attended graduate school at Chapman University, and has plans to pursue a Doctorate degree. He currently teaches at Capistrano Valley High School.
