The athlete:  Ashley is coming off a rehab year following knee surgery…graduated from Ontario Christian High School in 2001…1^st-Team All-League…2^nd-Team All-CIF…leading scorer in high school…helped lead her team to two CIF Championships…two-sport high school athlete…has played soccer since she was six years old…forward with a great shot from either foot…was recruited for her goal scoring abilities…working hard to get healthy and back into top playing shape…will make a big impact in her first year with the Lions.

The person:  Ashley was born on August 13, 1982 in Anaheim, California…parents are Robert and Julie DeLoach…has one older brother…nickname is “Pickles”…Business Administration major…sports hero is Chipper Jones…likes the color red and the number 10…hobbies include playing soccer, fishing, running, and making photo albums…roots for the Atlanta Braves…favorite movie is “Hope Floats”…would like to meet Jesus…believes hatred and immorality are the biggest problems in the world…competing in sports has taught her about determination and discipline…would like to become a wedding planner.

Her thoughts:  Ashley chose VU because it was close to her home and near the beach.  She really likes the atmosphere at Vanguard.
