The athlete:  Alise returns for her second and final season with the Lions…transferred to VU last season after playing two seasons at Fresno City College…three-sport standout at Sierra High School…MVP Scholar-Athlete and Valedictorian at SHS…All-Conference selection at FCC…defensive specialist…disciplined player who is not afraid to outwork her opponent…great attitude makes her an even bigger asset to the team…committed and mature player…has the experience to contribute more this year…the ultimate team player who desires to place team priorities over her own.

The person:  Born on September 16, 1981 in Fresno, California…parents are Robert and Cheryl McBrien…has one older brother…will graduate with a degree in Athletic Training…loves Chinese food…favorite movie is “The Three Amigos”…likes the color blue and the number 16…favorite place is Yosemite National Park…enjoys any outdoor activity and playing soccer…roots for Kobe Bryant and the LA Lakers…would like to meet God…feels pollution is the biggest problem in the world…life has taught her not to sweat the small things…competing in soccer has taught her that patience and hard work pays off…wants to be an Athletic Trainer for the U.S. World Cup team.
