The athlete: Laura returns for her third season with VU…the sharp-shooting guard was a member of the 1999 Alaska State Champions of Palmer High School…two-time All Region and a USA Today All-American in 1999…second leading scorer among VU returners…has 165 career three-pointers…eight baskets away from overcoming the 3-point mark for the Lions…All-GSAC selection as a freshman in 2000…extremely hard worker…first-year team captain for the Lions.

The person: Laura was born in Palmer, Alaska on June 12, 1981 to Leslie and Cynthia Lee…junior in the Business program at VU…likes to eat egg white omlettes…enjoys putting on the armor of God every morning…favorite athlete is “Pistol” Pete Maravich… would like to meet Jesus…feels the biggest problem in the world is the lack of knowledge of spiritual warfare…likes the willingness of her teammates to achieve one common goal at any sacrifice…has learned perseverance, patience, self-confidence, and teamwork through athletics…desires to be the best possible example of a disciple of Christ.

Her thoughts: God’s grace led me to Vanguard.  I love the openness to worship God, the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.
