Biography

Parents:  Bill and Michelle Paymard

Birthday: May 19, 2004

2025: Paymard had a bigger role in 2025, starting 14 of 22 games, with the bulk of his action coming at a slew of positions after the home-half of the Biola series. He earned his first career start in the DH spot against CSULA, with his first defensive start coming against Cedarville (1B). Paymard also had a brief stint in RF versus PLNU, before settling in at third-base for the majority of the last month of the season (his first action at 3B was March 1 at APU off the bench). He went yard for the first time in the nine-inning contest at Biola with his second long-ball coming at Hawaii Pacific. Paymard also had three 2-RBI games on the season.

2024: Paymard played in three games in his first year for the Lions. He earned two AB's, getting his first career knock (RBI-single to center) on March 21 against SAGU in the 6th inning of a seven inning contest. Defensively, Paymard got his first action at 1B in his collegiate debut on February 24, toeing the bag again on March 22 for the 6th and 7th inning.

What is one food you could eat for the rest of your life, what is one you would destroy from the earth, and why?
I could eat Persian Food for the rest of my life, love me my kabobs! I would destroy, I mean ANNIHILATE onions!!!

What is your record for the game “chubby bunny” or how many marshmallows do you think you can put in your mouth?
20

What would you give a TedTalk on, even if no one asked for it?
I would talk about how MLB and NCAA should implement the ABS challenge system.

What is your favorite memory of watching a sporting event, either in person or on TV?
Back in 2015 me and my family went to Yankee Stadium, and my dad’s favorite player Alex Rodriguez (ARod) was up to bat and my dad yelled “I greenlight you ARod”. The next pitch Alex Rodriguez hit a 450 foot bomb to left field and pointed at my dad rounding the bases! Few years later in 2022, we happened to run into him at Yankee Stadium and my dad told him about that moment and he remembered.

What is the dumbest way you have gotten hurt?
Probably shouldn’t mention this, but last year I went for a run around my neighborhood, and I was running on the sidewalk where I made a dumb move to jump on the road and continue my run. When I had jumped, I didn’t realize how much asphalt they took off the road and my foot landed the other way leading to a high sprained ankle injury a week before school. Never mentioned anything to anyone!
