The athlete: Devin is in his second season with Vanguard…All Conference player at Irvine Valley College in 1998…named “Outstanding Defender” last season for the Lions…strong physically…talented and smart player…an intense competitor and fun player to watch…will be an important starter in VU’s defensive back four.

The person: Born in Westlake, California on November 29, 1977 to James and Kathy Adams…nicknamed Devo…majoring in Exercise Sports Science…loves to surf and snowboard…likes to eat sushi…favorite movie is “Braveheart”…feels the biggest problem in the world is hunger…life has taught him to go with the flow…athletics has taught him to live with adversity…would like to become a professional athletic trainer in England.

His thoughts:  Devin selected Vanguard because of the quality of the education and athletics.  He really likes the location and the camaraderie on campus.
