The athlete: David heads into his junior year after a great sophomore season with the Lions…was second in scoring, contributing 19 points last year…played in 19 of the 20 games…will be an asset again this year up front as a goal scorer…brings a lot of depth and experience…very unselfish player that works hard…played his high school ball at Foothill HS in Santa Ana, CA…was a key player that brought three Century League Championships to Foothill…look for David to take some pressure off of the other forwards to spread out the fire power…look for McAulay to play a key role on this year’s team.

The person: David was born on October 18, 1983 in Hayward, California…son of Doug and Debbie McAuley…has two brothers, Dan and Doug…is majoring in Math…favorite movie is “Good Will Hunting”…enjoys water skiing and hiking…likes the number five…would like to meet David Beckham…is a big fan of Manchester United…has learned that team discipline is one key to success.

His thoughts: I chose Vanguard because of the attitude towards education and athletics.
